Beachcleans at Kimmeridge & Worbarrow

 7th Jul 2008

BeachcleanOn Sunday 6th July, 21 volunteers braved the strong winds and risked wet weather to remove 142kg of litter from Kimmeridge and 16 volunteers removed 578kg of litter from Worbarrow (mainly a large green trawl net).  Surprisingly, these beaches were the cleanest we've ever seen on a beachclean and litter was mostly in the form of cotton bud sticks and small plastic and polystyrene pieces.

A big thank you to all attended and we will look forward to seeing others at Beachwatch on Sunday 21st September at 2pm.
