Dorset Wildlife Trust is once again offering a series of workshops for volunteers who would like to have a go at recording wildlife this year. The spring and summer months are traditionally the time for monitoring the status of our wildlife, rather than carrying out the more practical work associated with the winter work programme.
Beginners welcome!
The identification workshops are designed with the aim of enabling volunteers of all levels of experience to be able to help gather valuable data on several key species. The subjects vary from deer, bird song, various plants and even wasps! Each is a standalone workshop and is offered free of charge. All we ask is that the new found identification skill are put to good use by the submission of species records - enabling us and the Environmental Records Centre to gather vital information on the status of our local wildlife.

British Deer on 8th April
Bird song basics on 5th May, followed by a Dawn Chorus event on 8th May
