Bridport’s local nature reserve is ready for spring, thanks to caring local people. Braving the weather, a team of twenty volunteers, Dorset Countryside Rangers and Dorset Wildlife Trust staff cleared paths coppiced trees and created glades at Jellyfields nature reserve, enhancing it for both wildlife and people.
Emily Brown, of Dorset Wildlife Trust, said: “This was a tremendous effort from all involved and we would like to say a big thank you very much to everyone who came and helped out.”
Local community makes a difference
Lawrence Weston, of Dorset Countryside, which manages this woodland site, added: “It was a superb day where the local community got together and made a real difference to this local nature reserve. Its great that so many local people took an interest and we hope you continue to help us manage this lovely site in the future.”
