RESCHEDULED Dawn Chorus Walk at Wild Woodbury
, Bere Regis, BH20 7LL
About the event
Purchased by Dorset Wildlife Trust in the Summer of 2021, Wild Woodbury is our first community rewilding project. Formerly an intensive farm, the 420-acres are now being rewilded by re-instating natural processes and letting nature lead.
Join Rangers Seb Elwood and Daisy Meadowcroft, for a guided walk around the site whilst taking the time to stop and listen to the dawn chorus. Learn about how the abundance and diversity of birds have changed since Dorset Wildlife Trust purchased the site. Early mornings in spring are a fantastic time to learn about birds, as most of our summer visitors will have arrived from the south and resident birds will be in full song as they proclaim their breeding territories.
Arrival for a 05:00am start. We'll aim to be back at the cars for 07:30.
Please note - we don't currently have any facilities on site.
