Introducing the Eggardon Hill Gigapan

What is a Gigapan? A Gigapan is a fascinating panorama made up of hundreds of individual photographs. You can zoom in to look at the image in amazing detail using the + and - buttons on the left, or by clicking on the image. Can you spot the deer and cattle grazing in the fields and spring hawthorn in blossom? Have fun exploring!

What am I looking at? From Eggardon Hill you are looking far west along the beautiful Marshwood Vale to the hills of Lewesdon Hill and Pilsden Pen in the diistance on the left. Two of the Dorset Wildlife Trust nature reserves are visible - the wooded Powerstock Common in the centre and Kingcombe Meadows which are the field systems below and to the right of the masts on the horizon.
