Dorset Ecology has an experienced team of ecologists who can cover a wide range of disciplines. We are able to interpret a client's need to produce a high standard of work. We aim to strive for excellence in the field of ecological consultancy.

Our professional staff are trained to a high level of expertise and are all members of the Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management (IEEM)

 

Bronwen BruceBronwen has worked in the commercial, research and charity section of wildlife conservation for 13 years. She specialises in aquatic habitats for which she has experience of the botanical, amphibian and mammal components. She has also built up knowledge of wildlife law and has experience in project management.

 

Robert AquilinaRobert has an MSc in Freshwater Ecology and has worked with Pond Conservation for three years gaining extensive experience of all water habitats. He has some 6 years experience of working with amphibians and reptiles. His other field of interest is invertebrates especially beetles, bugs and flies.

 

James ParkinJames joined Dorset Ecology in 2009 after having worked as a surveyor on Dorset Wildlife Trust’s Sites of Nature Conservation Interest Project for 3 years. Before this he was surveying woodlands in Northern Ireland for the Irish Ancient Woodland Inventory and volunteered for Somerset Environmental Records Centre. James has a BSc in Ecology, is experienced in botanical survey and protected species work and holds survey licences for bats and barn owls.

 

Jon CreweJon has a BSc in Environment and Ecology and has joined Dorset Ecology after working as a self employed ecological consultant. He is an expert botanist and is secretary of the Dorset Flora Group. He is licensed to work with all species of British reptiles and amphibians, with recent experience of Smooth snake and Sand lizard translocation. Jon is currently working towards a bat licence.

 

Anna MuckleAnna's career in conservation began on the Norfolk Broads, developing skills in practical countryside management. She then moved into ranger work in the Cotswolds and then Greater London. A combination of this experience and extensive volunteer work with bats, great crested newts and water voles gave Anna the opportunity to work for Dorset Wildlife Trust in 2008. At the Trust Anna has co-ordinated and participated in various monitoring schemes, obtaining her dormouse and bat licence along the way, and provided habitat management advice to landowners across the county.

 

Louise BunceLouise has been working as the receptionist/admin assistant at Dorset Wildlife Trust since August 2007. She joined Dorset Ecology as a part time administrator in June 2010 and is responsible for providing administrative support to the team. Her wildlife interests include bats and reptiles.
