Photographic & Video Group
We recognise that many of our members are interested in wildlife & landscape photography and video production, so we have set up a group to help them learn more about photography and video, with opportunities to try out new skills in fantastic wildlife-rich settings and meet with people with a like-minded interest.
The Group now has a programme of events organised throughout the year. We will send updated details of practical sessions and trips every month.

Who can join?
- Open to all current members of Dorset Wildlife Trust
- You don't have to be an expert photographer or video operator - there is something for all levels, from novices with their first camera through to those with plenty of experience looking for new techniques.
Group activities include:
- Outdoor trips to sites good for wildlife photography & video
- Practical demonstrations with professional photographers
- Opportunities to try out techniques
- Assignments for Dorset Wildlife Trust
- Dorset Wildlife Trust nature reserves visits
- Indoor meetings
- Talks/Speakers practical sessions/techniques training
- Critiques
- Competitions
- Selection for exhibitions
- Occasional Group exhibition

Organisation
- The group is run by volunteers
- If you are willing to help in some way please indicate when you register
Images/video
- Provide Dorset Wildlife Trust with Dorset wildlife/countryside images or video footage for use on the Dorset Wildlife Trust website, Dorset Wildlife Trust publications including the newsletter or for specific assignments such as the Dorset Wildlife Trust calendar or Christmas cards
- Access to Dorset Wildlife Trust online Flickr group pages where images can be shared The Flickr group is for only Dorset wildlife and landscape photographs, and group rules apply. http://www.flickr.com/groups/dorsetwildlifetrust/
Fees/Fundraising
- There may be a small joining fee for Group members to help cover Group expense costs.
- The Group may charge a small attendance fee for meetings and trips to cover expenses.
- Any surplus income raised at Group events/activities to be donated to Dorset Wildlife Trust.
