Rivers and Wetlands Project
Dorset possesses a wealth of freshwater resources including habitats such as internationally important chalk streams with their characteristic water crowfoot plant community and grazing marshes, and endangered species such as otters, water voles, bullhead, southern mayfly, great-crested newt and white-clawed crayfish

Project aims
Through working with landowners, community groups, anglers and volunteers the Rivers & Wetland Project aims to:
- Promote and protect Rivers & Wetlands in Dorset
- Create and enhance wetland habitat in Dorset
- Deliver Biodiversity Action Plan Targets
We deliver our aims in three ways:
- Habitat work
- Species work
- Advisory, training & planning work
