Code for Sustainable Homes Ecological Assessment

This is included under ‘BRE environmental assessment method’ (BREEAM). Tools are designed to help construction professionals understand and mitigate the environmental impacts of the developments they design and build. Dorset Ecology can allow construction projects to take on the ecological component of this assessment.

BREEAM environmental requirements

There is a maximum of five credits available for the ecological component of this assessment. Dorset Ecology can work with you to help design features and advise on your planting in the new development in order to gain the maximum credits suitable for your project.

All our staff are members of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (IEEM) and the consultancy is a member of the Association of Wildlife Trust Consultancies (AWTC), which means we fulfill all the criteria as ‘suitably trained ecologists’.
