West Dorset Hills and Vales - Living Landscape
The Wildlife Trust is working with landowners and communities in west Dorset to promote and secure sustainable land management that provides production of local food and space for wildlife to live and adapt. While ensuring local people can engage, celebrate and participate in their local landscape and feel connected to where they live.
Dorset Wildlife Trust has a database of landowners in Dorset and over the years have helped landowners find additional stock and visa versa.

Wildflower meadow creation - Pastures New
Farmland advisors will give grassland management advice for meadow enhancement and, where suitable, can co-ordinate a program of resoration techniques, including; green hay and wildflower harvesting and spreading.
Volunteers are vital to the project and are a great help "on farm" for tasks such as scrub clearance, digging a pond or fencing. If you want to volunteer to help restore Dorset's grasslands, woodlands & rivers please visit our volunteers page here.
