Morning Chorus Breakfast (Kingcombe Centre Course)
Friday 4 May 2018 05:30 - 08:30
Dawn is a feast for the senses at Kingcombe.
Join DWT’s Neil Gibson for an early morning guided bird walk followed by a hearty home-cooked breakfast.
Early May is one of the best times to experience the amazing sounds of the morning bird chorus. Join us for this guided walk at Kingcombe Meadows Nature Reserve before heading back to the centre for a hearty breakfast. The focus will be on recognising and helping you remember bird song. Although we start an hour or so after daybreak, learning is much easier once the peak sounds of the dawn chorus are over.
Neil Gibson is west Dorset reserves manager for Dorset Wildlife Trust, a keen naturalist and an experienced birder. Neil has worked for Dorset Wildlife Trust for 17 years and has a wide range of experience of Dorset's fauna and flora. Birds have been his passion since he was a boy and professionally Neil has conducted WeBS surveys in various locations, and common bird surveys in various habitats, both on DWT reserves and on a large private estate in Dorset.
Price: £18 pp includes guided activities and breakfast.
Times: Meet at The Kingcombe Centre at 5.30 am. Finish approximately 8.30 am.
