Whilst you work, you will hear about the history of the ancient tradition of willow working and learn about how willow is grown and harvested. You will discover the range of colours and designs together with learning the wonderful language of willow work including randing, butts, tips, slypes, mellowing, to name but a few terms. No previous experience is required. This is a perfect course for those starting out with willow work or for those with some experience wishing to learn a new technique.
£85 pp - includes all tuition, materials as per above, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
Arrive from 9.45am for morning tea. The course will start at 10am and finish at 4.30pm.
What to bring:
All tools and materials are provided, however if you have a sharp pair of secateurs, a knife and notebook it would be useful. Willow work can be a little messy so we recommend you wear an apron or old clothes.
