Dorset Greenwood Tree Project was initiated in June 2007 by a partnership of organisation to help 

  • Raise awareness of veteran trees for their natural, cultural and historical heritage value
  • Secure the long-term future of veteran trees by promoting their importance for protection
  • Provide advice for best conservation practice
  • Galvanize support and enthusiasm for veteran trees surveys
