Leaving a gift in your Will
Life, memories and wildlife
Celebrate your life, memories and continue caring for wildlife through a gift in your Will to Dorset Wildlife Trust
If you decide to leave a gift to Dorset Wildlife Trust it’s really straightforward to include this in your Will. You will need:
Our address: Dorset Wildlife Trust, Brooklands Farm, Forston, Dorchester Dorset DT2 7AA. Our registered charity number: 200222
More and more of our supporters are choosing to ensure that their own memory lives on by making arrangements for a future gift that provides an important and valuable source of support for the work of Dorset Wildlife Trust.
Our supporters like Joan care deeply about wildlife and the green spaces that they call home; both are an integral part of what makes up the beautiful county of Dorset. Dorset Wildlife Trust shares this vision and works with people and wildlife to maintain something very important — a bright future for Dorset’s wildlife.
We are so thankful that you are considering including the wonderful gift of restoring and preserving Dorset’s wildlife habitats in your Will.
DWT Member? Take part in our Free Will service
Our popular Free Will service for DWT members returns this year in October. We have partnered with solicitors across Dorset to help members create their Wills for free. Our solicitor partners have kindly agreed to waive the fee for this service in order to help us - they will ask if you would like to leave us a donation in your Will, although this isn't compulsory, and you can give as much or as little as you wish.
You can find out more about the Free Will Service on the download below. Then all you have to do is choose a solicitor from this list (see the solicitos form) and fill in the registration form below. Simply return the form to us via email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
To prepare for your Free Will appointment, you can download and fill in the Personal Planner.
Not DWT member? You can join us here.
Adding a codicil to an existing Will
If you already have a Will and simply wish to add a gift to Dorset Wildlife Trust you can complete a codicil form and store it with your Will. (See attached above.)
A codicil is read alongside your Will and allows you to make changes to your Will, without having to rewrite it.
For more information about a codicil form call Clare Busby, in confidence on 01305 264620 or email email@example.com
Our promise to you
When you leave a gift in your will, we make a promise to deliver lasting solutions, not short-term fixes.
We hope that you will notify us of your plans to include Dorset Wildlife Trust in your Will in order that we may understand and fulfil your intentions. We know that this is a private matter, but if you would like to let us know your plans, we’d love to thank you. Be assured that your name and the details of your future gift will remain confidential and will not be in any way binding.
