Leave a gift in your Will

Leave a gift in your Will

Amy Lewis

Protect the wildlife you love in Dorset, for future generations

Imagine leaving a gift that truly lasts for generations. A gift that allows others to enjoy Dorset’s wildlife and wild places for years to come - just like you do now. A gift that will provide a wilder future for the people, places and wildlife of Dorset.

Leaving a gift in your Will to Dorset Wildlife Trust could make that difference.

How your gift could help

Increasingly our supporters are making the incredible decision to leave a gift to Dorset Wildlife Trust in their Will.

Your gift, no matter the size, allows your passion for nature to live on and ensure those following in your footsteps can experience the amazing wildlife that calls Dorset home. Every legacy allows us to protect and buy more nature reserves, save more species, and ensure that future generations can experience and enjoy nature.

Every single gift we receive is hugely important and makes a vital contribution to our work. You can be confident that your legacy will make a real difference and will be put to good use meeting the most urgent conservation needs.

Here is a short video from our Dorset Wildlife Trust President, George McGavin, to tell you what your legacy could mean for us.

How to include a gift in your Will

Leaving a gift in your Will is something you can do now which will make a huge difference to the future of Dorset’s wildlife. Leaving just 1% to Dorset Wildlife Trust in your Will makes a significant impact and means your loved ones still receive 99%.

To leave a gift to us in your Will, you need our registered address and charity number:
Dorset Wildlife Trust, Brooklands Farm, Forston, Dorchester, DT2 7AA
Registered charity number: 200222

To make a new Will or update an existing one, you will need to speak to a solicitor.

Write an online Will for free

We are excited to announce a new partnership with award-winning provider, Farewill, a service which gives our supporters the opportunity to write an online Will for free. It can take as little as 30 minutes and we promise that there is no obligation to leave a gift to Dorset Wildlife Trust if you take up this offer. However once you have looked after your loved ones, we hope that you will consider remembering us in your Will.

To get started on your online Will, visit the Farewill website - your voucher code is DWT-WEB which should appear automatically.

Or if you would prefer to talk to a Farewill representative, you can request a telephone appointment with Farewill in which case, no voucher code is required – just quote ‘Dorset Wildlife Trust’ when you make your call.

Free Wills Month 2022

Each year in national Free Wills Month, Dorset Wildlife Trust teams up with local solicitors to provide members with a free Will writing service throughout October. This gives members the chance to create a simple Will or update an existing Will for free, via a face-to-face appointment with one of our partnering solicitors.

If you are interested in registering for the free Will writing service in October 2022, or have any questions at all regarding leaving a gift in your Will, please contact:
