Protect the wildlife you love in Dorset, for future generations

Imagine leaving a gift that truly lasts for generations. A gift that allows others to enjoy Dorset’s wildlife and wild places for years to come - just like you do now. A gift that will provide a wilder future for the people, places and wildlife of Dorset.

How your gift could help

We need nature, and it needs us. But nature is under threat.

Every gift allows us to protect more nature reserves, save more species, and ensure that future generations can experience and enjoy nature.

Leaving a gift in your Will is an action that you can take now, which will have a significant impact for the future of Dorset’s wildlife. Almost 20% of the funding we receive comes from gifts in Wills. Leaving just 1% of your estate to Dorset Wildlife Trust in your Will makes a huge difference and allows your passion for nature to live on, ensuring those following in your footsteps can experience the amazing wildlife that calls Dorset home.

Every single gift we receive, no matter the size, is hugely important and makes a vital contribution to our work.

Write an online Will for free

We are pleased to be partnering with award-winning provider Farewill, a service which gives our supporters the opportunity to write an online Will for free. It can take as little as 30 minutes and we promise that there is no obligation to leave a gift to Dorset Wildlife Trust if you take up this offer. However, we hope that you will consider remembering us in your Will.

To get started on your online Will, visit the Farewill website - your voucher code is DWT-WEB which should appear automatically.

Or if you would prefer to talk to a Farewill representative, you can request a telephone appointment with Farewill in which case, no voucher code is required – just quote ‘Dorset Wildlife Trust’ when you make your call.

Free Wills Month 2022

Every October, during national Free Wills Month, Dorset Wildlife Trust teams up with local solicitors to provide members with a free Will writing service. This gives members the chance to create a simple Will or update an existing Will for free, via a face-to-face appointment with one of our partnering solicitors.

If you are interested in registering for the free Will writing service in October 2022, please contact Hannah Filer, Legacy and Grants Officer at hfiler@dorsetwildlifetrust.org.uk or by telephone on 07970 847347.
