About the event

How much do you know about these crazy crustaceans? Come to the Wild Seas Centre to learn more about crabs, the different species that can be found and how to record them. Then join us for a seashore expedition to search for crabs and carry out a Crab Watch survey. Crab Watch is a citizen science initiative to learn about the changing distribution of native and non-native crabs. All data collected during this survey will contribute to the project. Once you have participated in this session why not download the app and have a go at surveying your local shore? For more information see:

Costs for the event are £5 per adult and £2.50 per child. Please be aware that access to Kimmeridge Bay is via a private road for which a toll of £5 per car is charged by Smedmore Estate (charges vary for other types of vehicle).
