About the event

Walking butterfly transects is becoming more mainstream and many more keen naturalists are interested in taking part. However, the regular time commitment matched with the application of the ‘Pollard’ transect rules when walking can be a little daunting, especially when people want to get it right. The event is designed to allow people to walk the transect at Woodbury with guidance, and experience how easy the exercise really is! Hopefully, people can gain confidence in applying the Butterfly Conservation transect rules and enjoy following the route of one of our newest walks in the Dorset Wildlife Trust’s new rewilding project at Wild Woodbury. Places are limited so please book your place with Steve Brown by emailing estherandsteve@btinternet.com
