About the event

Find out more about the fascinating wildlife that inhabits freshwater habitats and take part in wildlife activities and games. Discover how you can make your own mini pond and attract wildlife to your garden.

There will be two pond dipping sessions at 11am and 2pm.

Book with our volunteers at the Dorset Wildlife Trust gazebo on the way into the reserve (we may run an extra session if there is enough demand).

The island is owned by the National Trust. Boats run from Poole Quay and must be booked in advance through the National Trust website https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/brownsea-island.

National Trust members get free admission to the island on production of a valid membership card.

Dorset Wildlife Trust members get free admission to the island if visiting the Dorset Wildlife Trust nature reserve.
