Looking for half term activities?

Join Dorset Wildlife Trust staff at Kingcombe Visitor Centre for a guided look at what can be seen in our wildlife gardens and orchard.

Then craft a rustic bird feeder from locally sourced material to take home and help attract your own birds. When your creations are complete, warm up with a delicious hot chocolate from the Kitchen at Kingcombe cafe (drink included with child's ticket).

Explore Kingcombe Meadows nature reserve which is teeming with wildlife. The nature reserve is managed as a working farm, grazed by cows, sheep and Exmoor ponies, without the use of modern agricultural practices. The result is a patchwork of fields of unimproved flower-rich grassland, broken up by thick hedges, streams, ponds, ancient green lanes and wooded areas spreading up the valley either side of the River Hooke. This area supports a wide range of wildlife .
