Heathland Heritage Traineeship 2021

This is a 12-month bursary supported traineeship, undertaking a programme of practical conservation and visitor management, predominantly on our Tadnoll and Winfrith Nature Reserve, but with the opportunity to work on a variety of nature reserves located within our South & East Dorset team. This placement is based at our Brooklands Farm headquarters near Dorchester.
Working alongside our experienced Warden team with a designated mentor, the traineeship offers practical experience working in the conservation sector. This includes a comprehensive training package including vocational qualifications in chainsaw, first aid and many more. At the end of the 12 months, trainees are experienced in a wide range of practical management techniques, volunteer management, and wildlife surveys.
Commencing on the 1st of September 2021, our Heathland Heritage Traineeship is an amazing opportunity for local people wishing to pursue a career in environmental conservation.
To meet the Magnox Ltd funding requirement of supporting local communities, priority will be given to applicants from Dorset and South West counties.
Please note that this traineeship is not part of the Wild Paths traineeship programme.
