An illustrated talk on Lorton Meadows and Chesil Beach by Vicky Ashby, assistant at Dorset Wildlife Trust's Chesil Centre. Lorton Meadows nature reserve is a collection of unimproved fields enclosed by thick hedgerows and small copses nestling in the Lorton Valley. There some quite rare wildflowers the reserve and is particularly good for birds of hedgerow, scrub and grassland. It also provides excellent foraging and flight lines for bats.
