About the event

Did you know that barn owls live in Weymouth and Portland? Join this family event at Lorton Meadows Conservation Centre for a morning dedicated to these handsome birds and the animals they prey on.

Rather like fur balls produced by cats, owl pellets contain the bones, feathers and fur of their recent meals. Using tweezers and magnifying glasses we will tease apart the pellets and identify the bones within using special identification charts. You can also take some of your finds home with you.
