We have a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a passion for working with people in their own communities to aid nature’s recovery.
We are looking for a new member of our Wilder Communities Team who excels at communicating with people, listening to their aspirations and providing support to develop those ideas into deliverable activities that will benefit wildlife.
This role, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) and made possible thanks to National Lottery players, will play a key part in developing an exciting new project working with communities to support nature’s recovery across rural north Dorset, particularly focused on its market towns. You will identify community stakeholders, organise and undertake consultations and events, pilot activities and be involved in writing an Activity Plan and associated documents for the project delivery phase, aligned with NLHF Investment Principles.
No day will be the same, from working with well-established environmental groups with ideas for wildlife surveys, campaigns or habitat creation to working with people new to nature and co-creating creative and inclusive ways to inspire more people to take part.
If you enjoy working with a great team around you, have a confident, personable nature, have experience of engaging with the public and taking a community organising approach, are highly motivated and would like to be a part of a highly successful Conservation Charity, we would love to hear from you!
This is a 12 month fixed term, full time (35hours) contract role.
Please download the job description for more details, or feel free to email for more information about the role or to arrange an informal chat.
