About the event

Ferns are a group of vascular plants that reproduce by spores. They do not have seeds, nor do they flower, making them a fascinating group of plants to learn about.

Robin Walls is the county recorder for vascular plants in Dorset and has a wealth of knowledge about flora. He is heavily involved in the Dorset Flora Group and is a tutor for the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland’s Identiplant programme. Join Robin in this one-day course to share his passion for plants and discover the ferns growing in the ancient hedgerows and droves of Kingcombe Meadows nature reserve.
