The session begins with a short illustrated presentation featuring rock and fossil specimens alongside a 3D map that reveals the fascinating geology of Kingcombe.

Afterwards, enjoy an inspiring guided walk through the reserve to explore:

  • The underlying geology beneath your feet
  • How geology shapes the landscape features you see
  • The relationship between rocks, soils and plant life
  • How these elements change as you move through the valley

Kingcombe Meadows is renowned for its rich plant life, ancient mixed woodland and habitats that support important wildlife.
