About the event

Join a warden to learn more about seaweed, how to identify different species and carry out a simple citizen science survey. No previous experience needed!

The big seaweed search is a nationwide citizen science project led by the Natural History Museum and the Marine Conservation Society. It helps researchers track the effects of climate change, invasive species, and ocean acidification by monitoring 14 key species of seaweed.

Parking information

Access to Kimmeridge Bay is via a toll road which costs £6 per car (charges vary depending on the vehicle). Car parking is included in the toll fee.
