The Kingcombe Centre Manager, Steve Marsh said, “Putting together the 2020 brochure has been great fun, and I’m pleased that we have some of the most talented people in Dorset and beyond sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm on their specialist subjects. There’s something for many interests but all the courses are inspired by nature, wildlife and Dorset. We look forward to welcoming back our regular visitors, plus some new ones in 2020.”
Also new for 2020, is the Introduction to Nature Writing, led by local writer and artist, Jenny Hunt. She said, “I’m looking forward to running a creative writing workshop on 21st March 2020, set in the unique environment of The Kingcombe Centre and surrounding nature reserves. A love of words and nature is all that it is required. We’ll discuss the work of published authors and poets, and spend time immersing ourselves in our surroundings, writing notes and impressions. Writing exercises will kick-start the creative process and we will look at different writing techniques. Each person will go home with a personal manuscript – their own special memory of Kingcombe.”
Jenny’s course is designed for beginners and also those with some experience of writing. To book your place on the An Introduction to Nature Writing course, or any other courses and workshops at The Kingcombe Centre, visit www.kingcombe.org/book or phone 01300 320684.
