Dorset Wildlife Trust has once again teamed up with Kitson & Trotman solicitors to offer our supporters a free will writing service throughout March 2026. This gives you the opportunity to create a simple will or update an existing will for free. A limited number of appointments are available with Kitson & Trotman at their Beaminster branch.

Further Information
Please note that solicitor appointments are extremely limited this year, with a total of 6 slots available. All appointments will take place at Kitson & Trotman's offices in Beaminster.
Registrations will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority will be given to Dorset Wildlife Trust members.
Appointments will only be free to supporters who have not previously completed a will under the Free Will scheme. If you have previously completed a will under the scheme, you may be charged by the solicitor. If you are unsure, please discuss this with the solicitor at the time of arranging your appointment.
Further to the above, your appointment will be free provided you have a simple individual or mirror will. A ‘simple’ will involves the following: appointment of executors; appointment of guardians for minor children; specific gifts or legacies to friends, family or charities; stipulation of funeral wishes; and distribution of the residue of the estate (i.e. after payment of all funeral expenses and debts to family, friends or charities).
It may be necessary for your solicitor to make a charge for including a trust in a will, if this is desired.
Any additional fees will be defined by your drafting solicitor and discussed with you upfront.
