About the event

Join us for an evening boat trip on the Fleet Explorer. Find out about the fascinating wildlife of Chesil and the Fleet Lagoon and the rich local history. This is the perfect time of day to relax, and you might even spot the Chesil hares.

Evening cruises are available on the following dates:

  • May: Thursday 23 May
  • June: Wednesday 5 June, Sunday 9 June, Friday 21 June
  • July: Thursday 4 July, Sunday 7 July, Thursday 18 July, Sunday 21 July
  • August: Thursday 1 August, Sunday 18 August, Saturday 31 August
  • September: Friday 6 September, Sunday 15 September, Wednesday 25 September

What to bring

The boat has limited protection from the weather so please wear warm, dry clothing and suitable footwear. Remember it can be a little cooler once you are on the water,

Feel free to bring your own binoculars or a camera (at your own risk). There are a couple of pairs of binoculars on the boat that are available to borrow.

Parking information

There is a large pay and display car park at the Wild Chesil Centre, which is a 10 minute walk from the jetty. There is very limited on-street parking nearby but this is not guaranteed. Please ensure you arrive in good time.
