Are you looking for an exciting new challenge, and want to make a real difference to the fortunes of Dorset’s wildlife?
You will be leading the delivery of our major new initiative ‘Making Space for Nature for Dorset’ which will create and restore over 500ha of habitat across 18 Dorset Wildlife Trust nature reserves. Sites include our newly acquired flagship reserve at Lyscombe, as well as new land at our Kingcombe National Nature Reserve and improvements to existing sites such as Brownsea Island lagoon. Using a mix of traditional conservation and rewilding techniques, this project aims to create conditions where more species can thrive and where more people are inspired to take action for nature themselves. The Project Manager will be responsible for co-ordinating on-the ground restoration delivered by staff, contractors and volunteers, as well as project management, reporting and maintaining a high profile for the project’s achievements and opportunities.

This is a two year, fixed term contract position. Full time (35 hours per week)

This project is funded by the Government's Species Survival Fund. The fund was developed by Defra and its Arm's-Length Bodies. It is being delivered by The National Lottery Heritage Fund in partnership with Natural England and the Environment Agency
